Twitter API 1.1 Get Tweets
Twitter for a while have been pushing users to move to version 1.1 of their API. And now they are forcing you to since 1.0 has been taken down. For a lot of users this doesn’t matter since they use WordPress plugins or others of the sort. I liked using jsonp to pull tweets and not worry about it.
I put a little bit of time creating a simple PHP Twitter Library to pull your most recent tweet or tweets. This only works for Public Users and uses the Application Authorization method described below.
Windows 7 File Extensions Delete
Inside of Windows 7 and Vista, file extensions are iffy… at best. At times file extensions will lose association, start opening in odd programs, icons changing and more. And when the context menu is able to change the default program, a lot of things can still go wrong. Luckily a developer out there has a fix.
There is a script/program by Ramesh Srinivasan of TheWinHelpOnline.com called Unassoc. It does exactly what the name says, Un-associates file extensions. This program is free, portable, single executable and very simple to use. I have used this program so much to resolve issues, I can’t thank him enough, and thought I would share it with all of my readers.

HTML5 Game Development Basics
Are HTML5 games the future? Who knows, but I do know they are popular, easy to make, and overall fun to make. Below I am going to walk you through creating your first game in HTML5 and JavaScript. This walk-through will mostly be showing you how to do specific things in HTML5 to build games, not a copy and paste to make your own game. You will have to use what you learn from this and implement it yourself.
Installing Linux with Flash Drive
Installing Linux or testing linux using a flash drive or thumb drive is very simple and fast. The reason you should use a flash drive to install linux is because you can try out a ton of versions of linux without continuing burning cd’s and dvd’s. There are of course a few requirements but nearly every computer since 2002 will be able to follow these steps.
The Requirements
- 1GB or Larger Flash Drive
- Computer with the ability to boot using USB / Flash Drive (nearly every computer)
- Administrator Access to Format Flash Drive and run LiLi
- Linux Live USB Creator (also known as LiLi) - Download LiLi
The Process
Now that you hopefully have everything above we can get started. Just to make sure, have LiLi installed. I’ve had issues with the portable version of it, so I suggest just installing it.
